Visited here with my cousin on a Friday night. Great atmosphere, decent priced drinks for this part of the country and lovely staff. Cover band music was great too and i loved the smoking area. Stopped in on the sunday night for a more sophisticated pint and the atmosphere was lovely. No wonder it&#39;s my cousins fav spot in Chelmsford and i will be back next time i&#39;m down from Glasgow!

Golden Fleece

We have been here to watch the rugby on several occasions and the atmosphere is always good and today was no different. We like the fact we can check the website to make sure what is going to be on especially with so much football at the moment. There are plenty of screens including outside. We have also been to see several live bands here and again, fab atmosphere. The beer is always good, plenty of choice, wine likewise. What we hadn&#39;t done before was have lunch here. We chose 5 tapas dishes, more than enough for lunch, and they were delicious. All were well cooked, especially the prawns and I loved the beetroot hummus. I would recommend the calamari as well.

The Golden Fleece is probably the only pub in Chelmsford that still hosts live music. A good selection of beers, good food, and opening hours that you&#39;d expect from a good city centre pub. Well worth a visit, especially when there&#39;s live sport on too!

Often go here before a night out and sometimes end up staying because the atmosphere is just so good! The live music is always great and the dance floor is always full of people all having a good time. Rarely do you come across trouble. The garden is perfect! Heat lamps stop it from getting chilly of a night and the large amount of seating makes for a comfortable and enjoyable socialising space. The silent disco nights are my absolute favourite! Drinks are a little pricey compared to competitors but definitely worth paying.
